À propos de notre centre

Le Central Hub soutient les cercles et les membres en Ontario et au Québec. Guidés par la communauté et rejetant les méthodes de travail descendantes, des cercles locaux se sont formés à Hamilton, Toronto, Ottawa et Montréal. En faisant confiance à la méthode du cercle, chacun de ces groupes s'est développé et a évolué en fonction des besoins et des circonstances uniques de sa communauté.

L'histoire de notre Hub

Le Central Hub a émergé en 2016 lorsque plus de 50 éducateurs d'adultes et organisateurs communautaires se sont réunis pour un voyage de réflexion d'une journée en réponse au désir de construire un Righting Relations Hub en Ontario. À partir de cette graine, des cercles ont émergé à Toronto, Hamilton, Ottawa et, plus récemment, Montréal.

S'efforçant de maintenir l'espace nécessaire pour cultiver et nourrir les relations avec soi-même et avec les autres, chaque cercle répond aux besoins uniques de ses membres : réfléchir à ce que signifie être un colon à Hamilton, forger des alliances entre les communautés autochtones et les nouveaux arrivants à Toronto, jeter des ponts pour guérir du racisme entre les communautés noires et autochtones à Ottawa, et soutenir les militantes noires à Montréal. En faisant confiance au processus du cercle, chacun continue à se décoloniser, à construire une communauté et à partager ses connaissances.

Meet Keri, the Central Hub Coordinator

Keri identifies as Ukrainian-Canadian and currently lives as a guest on the traditional territories of the Mississaugas of Scugog Island. Her social justice perspectives are rooted in ecofeminist traditions that recognize the intersection between the oppression of non-human animals and the oppression of marginalized human communities. In her full-time job, Keri seeks to inspire college students to find deeper empathy for all animals (including people!) through exploration and finding points of connection. In her free time, you can find Keri reading books, playing soccer and hiking with her beloved dog Murdoch.
