Advancing Reconciliation in Education Toolkit

Advancing-Reconciliation-in-Education-Toolkit

This resource was created by the John Humphrey Centre for Peace and Human Rights in Edmonton, Alberta. It was developed through community and student participation, drawing from the experience of Human Rights educators. These educators piloted the sessions in schools, with the support and guidance of local Indigenous Knowledge Keepers and Elders.

The Advancing Reconciliation in Education Toolkit provides a framework for teachers to introduce and work through Canada’s complex and challenging history while inspiring action and understanding in schools and the broader community.

This toolkit is available in the form of PDF downloads on the John Humphrey Centre website (link above). Additional formats may be available using the contact information included on their website.
