Apply to the Collaborative Community Builders Youth Retreat

Righting Relations is excited to announce a Collaborative Community Builders Youth Retreat to be held from January 23-26, 2026 just outside of Ottawa, ON at the beautiful Ciel et Bois retreat lodging. The weekend will consist of youth-led skill development and relationship building opportunities ranging from public speaking practice to building an ongoing online community that aims to keep young activists connected in solidarity and mutual aid. We hope you’ll consider attending, or sharing this opportunity with young folks (ages 18-35) in your life who might be interested.

Selected participants will have the chance to:

• Prepare and deliver a 5-7 minute presentation on a social justice matter of their choosing to gain experience, feedback, and confidence in their knowledge and abilities
• Partake in circle conversations with like-minded people to develop bonds, swap insights, and broaden one another’s perspectives
• Shape and join a digital space where young activists can add their skills to a shared rolodex and lean on one another for support in their social justice work across the country

Upon attending the training camp, participants will receive:

• A $250 stipend per person to cover their time and contributions to the weekend
• Meals, accommodations, and travel costs covered by Righting Relations
• A certification of participation to add to their portfolio
• An invitation to an online Slack community of young activists to stay connected, share skills and knowledge, and support one another’s work going forward
